Rottschafer cited for securities work

Peachtree City's David Rottschafer, president of Fairway Financial Services, Inc. and Chartered Retirement Plans Specialist, recently qualified for the third consecutive year for IFG Network Securities' Awards Conference in October. This award recognizes the top 20 percent of all representatives with IFG Network Securities, Inc., member NASD/SIPC.

Rottschafer is a financial advisor, registered investment advisor and registered principal with IFG Network Securities.This January marks his 10th year in the financial services industry.

"Qualifying for this award for the past three years is extremely gratifying, especially given the market environment we have been in over those three years," he said. "While the market has been challenging, we have continued to grow our business each year, which is somewhat unique in the industry today.Our typical client is in their 50s or early 60s and is looking for ways to protect their retirement plans, which is usually their biggest asset.They have done a great job in saving their money and now they want to protect it while providing income for them throughout their retirement.It has been rewarding to see how well the plans we have created have held up in this difficult market environment.

"We have also had great success helping self-employed, sole-proprietors like real estate agents structure a low-cost individual 401(k) plan that allows them to contribute greater amounts pre-tax while allowing them access to their retirement funds via tax and penalty-free loans.These plans certainly fueled our company's growth, particularly toward the end of 2002.
