'I don't
care how many line up behind me; I'm in front ; I win'
The "tempest in a teapot" debate over left lane drivers has finally drawn me into the fray. Frequently I drive in the left lane at speed limit or above speeds and I don't feel the least bit compelled to move over if someone comes up behind me. If they want to exceed the speed limit at a faster rate than I am already exceeding the speed limit, and they have to pass on the right, then so be it. But the one thing I want that driver to know is that he better not even think about coming around me and then cutting back in to the left front of me. He may cut in one or two cars in front of me, but there is no way on the planet I'm going to give him the room to cut back to the left immediately in front of me. I'd rather see him run up a tree. The reason I did not join the discussion before now is because I just really don't care what the guy behind me thinks, feels or vents. If he isn't an ambulance, police car, fire truck or other emergency vehicle, then guess what: He's behind me, he gets to wait and I WIN. So whether he gets mad or gets over it is utterly irrelevant and superfluous to me. John May motyam@mindspring.com
