SCAT tryouts now open Head Coach Jamey Myers and the coaching staff of the Southern Crescent Aquatic Team would like to invite interested swimmers to try out for team membership. SCAT is a USA Swimming year-round competitive swim team with pools in Peachtree City. USA Swimming is the national governing body for amateur swimming in the United States. SCAT competes in local, regional, and national level competitions. The team's philosophy is to bring all team members together in one effort and purpose to achieve a consistent environment and stable program so that each athlete can reach his/her potential. Tryouts will be held at the Kedron Aquatic Center in Peachtree City on the following dates: Tuesday, July 29, 9-11 a.m.; and Saturday, Aug. 23, 10 a.m.-noon. If an interested swimmer is unable to attend general tryouts during these dates and times, he or she may contact the SCAT office at 678-595-7314 to make alternate arrangements. However, interested swimmers are urged to try out as soon possible to reserve a spot on the team as there are a limited number of spaces available on the team.
