Californian seeks to form new church in PTC

Bill Holdridge of Monterey, Calif., is seeking persons in Peachtree City who may be interested in laying the groundwork for a new Calvary Chapel Church here, in conjunction with Calvary Chapel in Costa Mesa, Calif.. FFUMC hosts cancer survivors' potluck dinner tonight

The Cancer Support Group at the Fayetteville First United Methodist Church will host a potluck dinner for all cancer survivors tonight, July 16, at 6:30 p.m. at the Lakeside on Redwine Community Clubhouse. For more information, contact Linda Lewis at 678-817-9237.

Flat Creek Baptist youth head for Panama City

High school youth at Flat Creek Baptist Church will travel to Panama City Beach for a weekend retreat Thursday, Aug. 7, through Saturday, Aug. 9. Bob Harrison to speak at Body of Christ Church

Bob Harrison of Harrison International Ministries in Tulsa, Okla., will be the special guest speaker at the Body of Christ Church International, U.S.A.,Sunday, July 27, at the 8 and 10 a.m. worship services. Christian home educators schedule book sale in Griffin

Greater Griffin Christian Home Educators will sponsor a book sale Saturday, July 19, at Crestview Baptist Church in Griffin, located on U.S. Hwys. 19 & 41 across from Belk's. S.A.G.E. ministry meets tomorrow

The S.A.G.E. (Senior Adults Going Everywhere) ministry at the Fayetteville First United Methodist Church will meet Thursday, July 17, at noon, in the old fellowship hall to make plans for future day trips and to discuss past outings. Flat Creek to host WMU conference

Flat Creek Baptist Church will be the site of the 2003 WMU Regional Leadership Conference, scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 16, from 8 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Volunteers are needed in several areas including traffic control, greeters and registration. F'ville Christian to host backpack party

Members of the Fayetteville Christian Church will have a Backpack-Back-to-School party for children in the community Saturday, Aug. 9, from 10 a.m.-noon, in the church gym. PTC UMC to host divorce recovery series

A free, Biblically-based, 13-week divorce recovery series will be hosted by the Peachtree City United Methodist Church beginning Wednesday, Aug. 20. The series is geared toward those who are recently divorced, contemplating divorce, or separated. The group will meet each week from 7-9 p.m. in room 300. Free childcare will be provided. The series involves viewing a video, taking notes in a workbook, and group discussion. Nonmembers of the church are welcome to attend. The church is at 225 Robinson Rd. Pre-K classes offered at Tyrone FBC

The First Baptist Church of Tyrone offers a Mom's Morning Out session for two-year-olds on Wednesdays from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. There is a onetime registration fee of $40, then $45 per month thereafter. The church also offers classes for three- and four-year-olds on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, from 9 a.m. until noon, with a onetime registration fee of $75, then $90 per month thereafter. Providence preschool begins this fall

Providence United Methodist Church will begin its preschool program this fall with classes for three-year-olds meeting three days a week and classes for four-year-olds meeting four days a week. Explore Kindermusik at FFUMC

Parents and youngsters are invited to explore Kindermusik, the international music and movement program for young children, during a special celebration class at the Fayetteville First United Methodist Church Tuesday, July 22. The course is designed to build a foundation for a lifelong love of music. The introductory class is free but reservations are required. The regular classes begin Aug. 18 and continue for 15 weeks. Classes are available for children ages 18 months to 3 years, 3 to 5 years, and 5 to 7 years.
