Offshoot announces plans for upcoming coffee houses Stars on the Southern Crescent coffee house, presented since 1993 by Offshoot Productions, has announced an eclectic fall calendar, which includes Sept. 26-27's bluegrass festival, Oct. 24-25's jazz and blues jamboree, and Nov. 21-22's Celtic Christmas event. Stars on the Southern Crescent, an extremely popular southside event which draws talent from as far away as Nashville, will be held at the Fayette Family YMCA, 215 Huiet Road, Fayetteville, off of Ga. Highway 54 between downtown Fayetteville and Peachtree City.Doors open at 7:45 each evening, and the entertainment starts at 8:15. Patrons who bring their own mugs receive a discount on hot beverages and are eligible for the"Most Unusual Mug" award.The menu includes gourmet coffee, herbal teach, hot cider and other beverages, and home-made desserts. Admission, paid at the door, is $8 for general audience, and $6 for senior citizens and children 12 and under.
