'Let Freedom Ring' Friday

The Marquis de LaFayette Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution invites the public to attend its second annual "Let Freedom Ring" ceremony Friday, July 4, at 3 p.m. on the grounds of the historic courthouse in Fayetteville.

The program will consist of readings from the Declaration of Independence and the ringing of handbells in honor of each of the thirteen original colonies. As the children of S.A.R. members ring each handbell, the names of the signers of the Declaration of Independence will be read. The service will be a beautiful and appropriate way to celebrate the 227th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
