Fayetteville First Baptist presents 'The Last Letter'

Journeymen Quartet to appear at Jonesboro FBC

The First Baptist Church of Jonesboro will host the Journeymen Quartet for a performance of southern gospel music Sunday, June 29, at the 8 and 10:45 a.m. services, and in a special concert performance at the 6 p.m. service. First Baptist is at 147 Church St., Jonesboro.

Providence to hold infant/child CPR classes

Providence United Methodist Church will hold two four-hour classes in infant and child CPR on two consecutive Wednesdays, July 2 and July 9, from 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. The cost is $15 per person and space is limited. Bethany offers hot dogs lunches this summer

The missions committee at Bethany United Methodist Church will offer hot dog lunches to members of the community on several Saturdays during the months of June, July and August. Lunches are planned for June 28, July 12 and 26, and Aug. 9 and 23, from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. Bethany is at 607 Rivers Rd. in north Fayette County. for information, call the church office, 770-964-6992 or 770-964-6999.

Heritage men plan Destin fishing trip

The men at Heritage Christian Church on Redwine Road are planning a trip to Destin, Fla. next month for a six-hour deep sea fishing outing on the Destin Princess. The group will leave Fayetteville July 25 and return the following afternoon, arriving back in Fayetteville about 7 p.m. The trip is open to all men in the church age 16 or older. Tyrone First Baptist hosts quilting bee

Grief support meetings held each month at SWCH

Southwest Christian Hospice offers grief support meetings the second Thursday of each month at the hospice facility on Lester Rd. in Union City. Two sessions are offered, one at 10:30 a.m. and another at 7 p.m. For more information, call Gail Coffee, 770-969-8354.

Ladies exercise classes offered at Tyrone FBC
