Seven-week maximizing matrimony classes will be conducted at Christ the King Church A seven-week study on how to maximize your marriage will be conducted at Christ the King Charismatic Episcopal Church in Sharpsburg beginning Monday evening, June 30. The classes will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the church sanctuary and are available to couples who are planning to marry during 2003, and those who are currently married but who have not reached their 11th anniversary. There is no charge for the study. While several individuals will be teaching, the series coordinators and primary teachers will be the Rev. Bill and Donna Shelton of Peachtree City, who have extensive experience working with couples, particularly those who are within the first ten years of marriage. Topics to be explored include, "How Adam and Eve Have Affected Your Marriage," "The Driving Force That Motivates Men," "The Driving Force That Motivates Women," "Sacred Sex," "Money Talks Sometimes it Even Screams," "Good Fences Make Good Neighbors But What if 'The Neighbor' is My Spouse?" and "How to Fight Without Shedding Blood." Dr. David Epps, rector of Christ the King, said, "Over the years we have seen how individuals and couples encounter common problems during the first ten years of their marriage. We believe these seven weeks together will not only enhance an already stable marriage, but also will serve to give new input and strength to marriages that are struggling. All the materials being presented during the study come out of many decades of ministry and we are excited about what we anticipate will be excellent results." Christ the King is at 4881 Ga. Hwy. 34 East between Newnan and Peachtree City. For more information, call the church office, 770-252-2428. |
