Ashamed of airport firing

I have lived in Peachtree City for around 12 years and I can say without hesitation that I am now ashamed of what we have become in our government.

I know [Airport Manager] Jim Savage only through the Airport Authority and the good works he has done there. When Jim began working for the city, he worked from a small trailer parked on the Falcon Field grounds. Now I learn that he has been fired for no apparent reason.

I find this both disgusting and embarrassing to me. Shame on you for not giving this gentleman the opportunity "to take this airport in new directions." I think there's a hidden agenda in that weak excuse and I honestly believe it goes to the highest levels of our local government.

I don't know what it will take to get the proper person's attention but this event certainly got mine. Everyone should drive to the current development at Falcon Field and see where Jim has taken us.
