FBI wants to ID Riverdale bank robber

The Federal Bureau of Investigation is asking the public's help in identifying and locating a suspect who robbed a bank on Ga. Highway 85 in Riverdale Friday.

The robber entered the BB&T bank wearing a theatrical mask that covered his face from nose to chin and may have escaped in a 1995 to 1997 beige two-door Cadillac El Dorado, according to officials. The vehicle was in mint condition and spotted in the bank parking lot before the heist, accordinag to police.

When the robber entered the bank, he waived a small dark colored hand gun and ordered all bank customers and employees to the floor, according to police. The robber then forced a teller at gunpoint to put money in a dark satchel bag, police said.

The robber, described as a short, slender black male in his mid 20s to mid 30s, wore a beigh jumpsuit and a ball cap.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of the robber is asked to call the Atlanta Field Office of the FBI at 404-679-9000. A reward is offered.
