First Presbyterian welcomes interim senior pastor Dr. Richard Dodds is now interim senior pastor of First Presbyterian Church in Peachtree City. A graduate of Gettysburg College, Dodds also holds bachelor of divinity and master of theology degrees from Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, and a doctorate of ministry from Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary. Dodds has pastored Presbyterian churches in North Carolina, Georgia and Arkansas. He also has held numerous education, seminary, and Presbytery positions throughout a distinguished career spanning more than 40 years. While at First Presbyterian, Dodds will bring his extensive experience and skills to preaching, pastoral care, education and stewardship. "First Presbyterian is blessed to have an interim senior pastor of such high caliber," said Associate Pastor Sandra Wilmesherr. "Dr. Dodds has an impressive background with the Presbyterian church, and we are fortunate that he will be serving our congregation in this leadership capacity."
