Bethany plans Chattahoochee River boat trip

The Circle of Love at Bethany United Methodist Church is planning a boat trip on the Chattahoochee River Tuesday, June 24, departing from Columbus. The group will leave the church at 9 a.m. and will return around 6 or 7 p.m.

"It will not be to Gilligan's Island," a spokesperson said, " but it will be three hours long and lots of fun. The boat capacity is 45 so there will be room for everyone, since this is a private charter."

The boat trip will be hosted by "Captain Jim" Kittrel, who is said to be quite a storyteller, entertainer and guide. A picnic lunch will be provided at a stop along the river.

The cost is $25, plus a small amount to cover gas for the bus. Seating on the bus is limited to 26 persons and reservations are encouraged.

For more information, call the church office, 770-964-6992 or 770-964-6999.
