Why, in a
built-out city, does the library need expanding?
My family moved here several years ago because of the lifestyle afforded by Peachtree City. As I take a drive through town, however, I'm troubled at the amount of money that's being spent unnecessarily. Roads are being paved that seem to have been perfectly fine as they were. Did I read that the library will be expanded? Every time I visit, I find what I'm looking for and don't see crowds of people. If anything, I wait for the staff as they're busy talking to one another. If the town is "built-out," why expand the library? Also, is that a waterfall I see being built alongside the new sign of the Lutheran Church on Peachtree Parkway and Ga. Highway 54? Couldn't a nice sign be built for less? Aren't there better ways to spend the church's money, like giving to the Fayette Samaritans, for instance? Don't get me wrong: I enjoy living in Peachtree City, but why do we spend so much money needlessly? A waterfall on a church sign get real! Diane Avillo Peachtree City
