nursery hosting pond tour By EMILY BALDWIN
Have you ever considered adding a pond to your back yard, but were unsure of how to go about it, where to start, and how to maintain it? Well if you have, and even if you have never thought about it until now, you are in luck. Andy's Discount Nursery & Landscape Co. Inc. is planning its first-ever pond and garden tour Saturday, June 21, beginning at 10 a.m. A group will meet at the nursery in Fayetteville to learn about ponds and will travel to homes in Fayette County to see wonderful ponds and gardens created by fellow gardeners. The tour will offer ideas and information on placement, implementation, and maintenance of ponds. Currently there are four homes that will be hosting the tour, and it will conclude with a lunch at the home of Gay Martin. The tour costs $6.50 per person which covers the cost of lunch. To sign up simply call them at 770-461-6089 or visit Andy's Nursery by June 20 to reserve your spot. Andy's will try to provide transportation from the Nursery for those who wish to ride instead of driving. Andy's Discount Nursery & Landscape Co. is open 7 days a week from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and is located at 1807 Ga. Highway 85 just 3 miles north of Fayetteville.
