Summer track season starts Tues.

The Peachtree City Running Club's 2003 Summer Track Series kicks off Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. with the first meet at the track next to Peachtree City Elementary School on Wisdom Road.

Events include 50-yard dash (10 and under), 100-meter dash, 200-meter dash, 400-meter dash, 800-meter run, mile run, 3,200-meter run, 5-kilometer run, and 4x100 and 4x400-meter relays; they are run in heats based on age and sex.

Meets will be held each Tuesday through July 8 (except for July 1). Championship meets are set for July 15-16.
