Students experience the Job Fair

District 7 Commissioner William "Bill" Edwards (center) greets Mrinal Shukla, (far right) a 17-year-old student interested in pursuing a career in public service, during the 2003 Summer Youth Job Fair recently held in College Park. Thousands of students, dressed in business attire and carrying resumés, attended the event and spoke with job recruiters from McDonald's, UPS, Atlanta Job Corps, the Army, the Northwest Youth Power mentoring group, and other local and national businesses. Also pictured (from left) are Mrinal's sister Medha, 12; and their father, O.P. Shukla, an engineer with the County's Public Works Department.
