Lady Chiefs finish as state runnerup By MONROE
ROARK
After nine straight years in the state semifinals, the McIntosh Lady Chiefs tennis team broke through to the final round last weekend and finished second in the state in AAAAA, defeating Centennial 4-1 before losing to Chattahoochee 3-0. Priscilla Roberts and Adriane Hodges won their singles matches against Centennial, and the doubles teams of Shelby Carlson/Renae Clarke and Lauren Wilde/Stephanie Daughenbaugh also prevailed. The McIntosh boys lost 3-0 to Walton in the state semifinals to Walton. Starr's Mill also had two teams finish in the final four, as the Panthers lost 4-0 to Milton in the semifinals and the Lady Panthers fell 4-1 to Colquitt County.
