Fayetteville First UMC plans summer fun days for children Registration is now open to the community for Fayetteville First United Methodist Church's Summer Fun Days for children ages 5 through fifth grade. Those participating will enjoy a myriad of activities ranging from field trips to a wild animal park to ceramics and pottery making. Groups are divided into two age groups age 5 through completed first grade (Arky Angels), and those in second through fifth grade (Jericho Jammers). Groups will meet each Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. beginning Wednesday, June 4, and ending with a party on Aug. 6. The cost per child is $85 and includes t-shirt, tickets to all events, and meals, where applicable. Church buses and vans will be used for transportation and parents are urged to become chaperones. A nursery will be available on Wednesday mornings for younger children of chaperones. Some of the activities planned for the younger group include trips to Dauset Trails, the Children's Museum of Atlanta and the Puppetry Arts Center. Older children will enjoy trips to Callaway Gardens, the Fernbank Museum, the roller skating rink and the bowling alley. Many other activities are planned.
