Want green space? Pay for it

For years, I have heard residents state that they want existing farm land to remain undeveloped. This is easy to say when you're not paying the tax bill year after year.

If the residents of Fayette County want these tracts to remain undeveloped, then the county should purchase the property and raise taxes or issue bonds accordingly.
