Fayette lacks weather
warning
Congratulations to the ignorance of the Fayette County leadership. They have not provided the citizens of Fayette County with any modern system of weather warning. The idea of having only one siren in the county is ludicrous. Even more ludicrous is the concept of having the fire engines out on the driveways with their sirens on. Do these leaders really think that all of their citizens can hear the warnings when they are trying to find or take shelter? This is another good indication of why this state ranks 50th in so many ways. We tend to mock other counties and other neighboring states for their problems but at least they provide their residents with weather warning systems. Perhaps we should all put our houses up on blocks like those in some other Southern states. Maybe then we would be provided with a county-wide weather warning system. If the leadership of Fayette County is so foolish as to believe a tornado will never hit Fayette County, they have their heads in the sand. That might be the safest place for them if a tornado does ever appear on the horizon. Fayette County leaders, get us to the 21st century as fast as you can by providing a county-wide weather warning system. Paul M. Van't Hof Peachtree City
