Registration Day on Saturday for 1800s camp for girls

It's time once again to register girls for the Victorian Adventures summer day camp. This year, victorian Adventures, under the direction of Michele Cox, will be offering the popular 1800s day camp and will also offer two weeks of camp with a colonial theme. Camps last from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. each day with a program each Friday at 7 p.m.

The 1800s camp is offered for girls ages 8-12 during the weeks of June 9-13, June 16-20 and June 23-27. There will also be a "teen week" for more mature girls during the week of July 7-11. At the 1800s camp, girls dress in hoop skirts and participate in activities that will take them back to the days of old, such as making bonnets, learning needlework, performing old style dancing and much more.

The Colonial Life camp will take place July 14-18 and July 21-25. At the Colonial Life camp girls will dress in colonial attire and learn about crafts, customs and dances of the time period. They will also learn about the founding fathers of the country.

There will be a registration day for these camps this Saturday from 1-6 p.m. at Southern Oaks, 240 N. Jefferson Davis Drive in Fayetteville. Campers can also be registered throughout the spring and summer until camp sessions are full. The cost for each session is $125. phone 770-460-0890 or visit www.VictorianAdventures.com
