Cancer support group at FFUMC offers help for all

The Cancer Support Group at Fayetteville First United Methodist Church is winding down activities for the year, but will start up again in September.

The church offers a Cancer Support Group on the third Thursday of the month (September through May) at 6:30 p.m. in the Bride's Room.

The purpose of the group is to offer encouragement and support to both long-term cancer survivors as well as those recently diagnosed. Guest speakers share information on various topics such as nutrition, treatment options, and tips on finding the right doctor.

Each year group members sponsor a team in the Relay for Life, a walk-a-thon fundraiser for the American Cancer Society.

The group is open to the community. For further information, contact Brenda Ramage at 770-460-0225 or Asden Johnson at 770-461-2388.
