Fayette changing
for worse
I have known Paul Rivers [The Citizen, April 30] for years and I agree totally with him. Fayette County is not what it used to be. I moved out five years ago and I only return to visit my parents. Fayetteville used to be a close community that cared about everyone, but now all that's here is cars and congestion. People have become rude and inconsiderate, but, hey, the county is making money. The county commissioners are sitting back with large grins thinking, "More people more money." If you think about it, the new people moving in from the north are pushing most everyone else out. Yes, there is growth to be made, but at what price. In five years you will not be able to distinguish where Riverdale ends and Fayetteville begins. To be truthful, that breaks my heart.
