Health fair comes to Fayette Saturday

Area families will have the opportunity this weekend to get health screenings, nutritional guidance, child I.D. kits, and lots more at the Family Health and Safety Fair.

There will also be lots of great things for the kids, including the chance to meet real firefighters and safety professionals, check out their cool equipment, and see a giant cow!

Sponsored by Fayetteville Christian Church and supported by a variety of groups including the Fayette County Health Department, Fayette County Safe Kids, and Mayfield Dairies, the Family Health and Safety Fair will be a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon.

Families can also take advantage of free chiropractic evaluations, learn about healthy ways to watch their weight, and how to adopt a terrific pet. Admission is free and everyone is welcome.

The event will be held from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Fayetteville Christian Church, on the corner of New Hope and Hickory Road. For more information, call Helen Thornton at 770-461-8763.
