Thanks to dedicated officers

I wanted to take this opportunity to thank the Fayette County Criminal Investigation Unit, specifically Lt. Col. Bruce Jordan and Sgt. Tracey Carroll for their work and dedication on the Flint River murder case.

There were numerous others involved in working and solving this case, and my heartfelt thanks goes out to them also. It is not often that a case this old is solved and I realize how lucky we are that people as dedicated as these are the ones that worked on this.

I waited half my life for someone to put Carl Patton away. I have lived in fear half my life. Although the case is solved, I am still working on some unresolved issues.

But, I wanted to say that Fayetteville should be very proud to have people like these working there and protecting them and their families. The world would probably be a much safer and nicer place if we had more people like them around. So, thank you all for a job well done.
