Sharpsburg man honored for technical writing Eugene S. Larson of Sharpsburg has been named an associate fellow of the Society for Technical Communication (STC). Larson was cited for outstanding contributions in the promotion of the chapter, the Society, and the profession. The Society for Technical Communication is a professional organization for technical writers, editors, illustrators, managers, and educators. It is the largest professional organization in this field, with more than 23,000 members in 150 chapters worldwide. Information about STC and its programs can be found at www.stc.org. The society recognizes and honors deserving senior members by conferring upon them the rank of associate fellow. STC's associate fellows have earned this honor through their dedicated work for the technical communication profession and the society. Less than 1 percent of STC members achieve the grade of associate fellow.
