High school sports briefs

The Sandy Creek Patriots boys soccer team won 1-0 against Forest Park and 1-0 against Lithia Springs last week.

The Landmark Christian Eagles baseball team defeated the Our Lady of Mercy Bobcats 6-4 last week.

The Starr's Mill tennis teams swept Lovejoy in boys' and girls' action last Thursday. Boys' winners were John Esterline, Adam Esterline, and Eric Jackson in singles, with Ben Matlaga/ Phil Strickland and Brian O'Keefe/Keith Kowal picking up doubles victories. On the girls' side, singles' winners were Shayna Simmons, Gabby Acuna and Jenna McPherson; doubles winners were Lauren Dillon/Kristin Thornton and Kitty Ireland/JoAnna Tolsma.

Both teams won over Mundy's Mill April 1. Singles players were John Esterline, Matlaga and Kowal, and doubles players were Stefan Maher/Andrew Aenchenbacher and Ahmed Mahama/Thomas Davisson. Girls singles players were Simmons, Thornton and Allison O'Keefe, with doubles action from Alison Stock/Jenna McPherson and Jenny Mandecheck/Ashley Blair.
