Wednesday, April 9, 2003 Bullard reports on state of company With the exception of very low interest rates, 2002 was considered an average year in terms of residential real estate market conditions. Still, Coldwell Banker Bullard Realty excelled in many areas. That was the message from Steve Bullard, the company's owner and president, when he spoke to Coldwell Banker Bullard representatives attending the company's annual Awards Breakfast, held recently at Eagle's Landing Country Club. The company's sales volume in 2002 came to a new record of $344 million, compared to $325 million the previous year. The Atlanta Business Chronicle listed Coldwell Banker Bullard as No. 18 on its listing of Atlanta's Top 25 Residential Real Estate Firms, based on sales volume the previous year, and the company was 45th nationally in closed transactions among the 1,269 Coldwell Banker Real Estate Corporation residential affiliates. Other company highlights presented by Bullard included the following: * The company's market area was increased to include Lamar and Upson counties with the opening of an office in Barnesville. * In a few weeks, Coldwell Banker Bullard's high-producing McDonough/Henry County office will move into a new 12,000 sq. ft. building on Jodeco Road, which will be the largest residential real estate facility in Henry County. * A newly-opened affiliate of the company, the Advantage School of Real Estate, got classes underway during the year and is now in the process of completing its second class. This venture is under the leadership of Jerry Nesbitt, Heather Caldwell-Cameron and Pedro Carillo. * The company's Marketing Department, headed by Heather Caldwell-Cameron, ended its second year of existence and is growing into a full-service department. * The Relocation Department, headed by Wanda Hughes, had another highly successful year. * The REO (Real Estate Owned) Department, led by Clegg West, sharply increased its listings during the past year, at the same time raising its average sales price. * Bullard Property Management, headed by Walter Krauth, not only had a successful year, but it also entered the homeowners association field and now has several associations under its management umbrella. * Cendant Mortgage, which currently has representatives in two Coldwell Banker offices and has phone-in, move-in arrangements with the others, continued to be a force in the mortgage loan business. Johnny Dykes, who has been in the Jonesboro/Clayton County office, is moving into the new McDonough/Henry County office, while Jean Dykes will be working in the office in Jonesboro. Laura Behuniak recently joined Cendant Mortgage as the financial services representative in the Peachtree City/Fayette County, serving the Fayette and Coweta County area, and Carol Bryant continued to work as the phone-in, move-in representative. * Bullard also detailed a number of advancements in the area of the company's systems and technology, and he spoke about the start of publication of the Buyer's Guide, a real estate oriented magazine published by the company and distributed throughout its market area. The company president also recognized Rick Schlosser, who was recently named director of Bullard's Builder Services Division. Also at the meeting, the company's Top Producers for 2002 were announced. Donna Tidwell of The HomeTeam from the McDonough/Henry County office was Top Producer, while Susan Clowdus of The Clowdus Team from the Jonesboro/Clayton County office was No. 2. Doug Crumbley from the McDonough/Henry County office was No. 3. In accepting the Top Producer award, Mrs. Tidwell, who recorded over $14 million in sales during 2002, recognized the members of The HomeTeam for their contributions. The company's 46 board-certified Million Dollar Club members for their performances during the past year were recognized.
