Wednesday, April 9, 2003 Metro Brokers' 2002 numbers look good The numbers are in for 2002, and Metro Brokers/GMAC Real Estate is the Southern Crescent's (Coweta, Fayette, Clayton and Henry counties) top real estate company according to a new study by Smart Numbers. Metro Brokers climbed to the top in buyer-brokered sales volume with an increase of four percent. Every other competitor lost sales by an average of 10 percent. The study also showed that Metro Brokers closed more buyer-brokered sales than any other Southern Crescent real estate company in 2002, making it number one in units sold. "What these numbers mean is that more Southern Crescent home buyers are turning to Metro Brokers to help them find a home than anyone else," said Dac Carver, director of Marketing and New Home Services. "We offer more in terms of marketing, technology, training and broker support than any other real estate company in the Southern Crescent." The study also showed that Metro Brokers is the fastest growing real estate company for the entire metro Atlanta area. In 2002, Metro Brokers' share of listings sold grew seven percent, topping every other Atlanta real estate company with minimum annual sales of $150 million. The figures were compiled and reported by Smart Numbers, an Atlanta company providing residential real estate information, analysis and forecasting for brokers, builder-developers and mortgage banking professionals. The percentage of market share is a key statistic, according to Smart Numbers President Steve Palm. "For any company, the most important statistic in the world is for your market share to be growing," Palm said. "And Metro Brokers is doing that faster than any other Atlanta real estate company with annual closing dollars of $150 million or more." In addition to the Southern Crescent, Metro Brokers increased its market share within other submarkets of metro Atlanta including Bartow, DeKalb, Douglas, East Paulding, Gwinnett, Intown Atlanta (Inside I-285), North Fulton, Rockdale and West Cobb counties. In most of these areas, Metro Brokers experienced double-digit market share growth. Metro Brokers/GMAC Real Estate, established in 1979, offers a wide range of real estate services including residential and commercial sales; pre- and post-license training; corporate relocation; new home sales and marketing; and insurance, mortgage and title/closing services. The company has 18 metro Atlanta offices with more than 1300 full-time sale associates.
