Northgate students bring 'Monet's Garden' to Avery Park

The interior design class at Northgate High School is busy preparing for the upcoming Kitchen Showcase at Avery Park. The class has been commissioned to design the kitchen of a Live Oak Construction home in the community.

Students are working on all design aspects of the kitchen, which has been themed "Monet's Garden." The completed kitchen will feature colors, tones, decorations and design elements reminiscent of Claude Monet's acclaimed paintings and Claude Monet's personal gardens surrounding his house at Giverny.

The free Kitchen Showcase will be continue April 12-13 from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday and 1-6 p.m. Sunday. The showcase will feature a variety of trend-setting kitchens in homes ranging in price from the $130s to over $300,000.
