Thacker named associate pastor at Lisbon
Lisbon Baptist Church of Fayetteville recently announced the appointment of Ben Thacker to the position of associate pastor. Thacker currently is teaching and coaching for Fayette County High School and will assume the associate pastor position on a part-time basis. Thacker is a 1988 graduate of Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary. He has served in two previous churches as part-time and full-time youth minister, but has been involved in ministry for 25 years. Dr. Randall Harris, pastor of Lisbon states, "What a blessing to have Ben as our associate pastor! His personality, experience, and spiritual gifts will be a great asset to our church and the Lord's work." Thacker and his family first came to Fayette County in 1990. He has taught for 15 years, nine of them within the Fayette County School System, and has a master's degree in physical education from the University of Georgia. He has been married for 21 years to his wife, Cindy, and they have four children. Lisbon Baptist Church is at 1662 Hwy. 85 South, Fayetteville. |
