Islam not a religion of peace, despite media's portrayal

Despite political assurances and media cover-up, Islam is not a "religion of peace." Allah is a god of war more closely resembling Mars or Kali than Jesus or Jehovah.

Yet it's not surprising the Vatican has come out against America's presence in Iraq. They have publicly embraced Muslims as brothers. Indeed both religions have a lot in common; they both favor unity of church and state (mosque and throne) and both oppose human freedoms, especially freedom of religion and thought.

Both religions expect unreasonable sacrifices from their members (enforced celibacy, upper management that winks at child molestation and suicide bombers). In fact, the Vatican's co-gods of Mary and Pope, while neither Biblical or genuine, more closely resemble Allah and Fatima than the Christ of the Bible.

It will be a $75 billion waste if the New Iraq citizenship isn't guaranteed separation of church and state and freedom of religion, two fundamental freedoms Americans take for granted but that also cost blood and conflict. The nature of Islam, its god of war, would just produce another Saddam.
