Lenten season brings varied activities to Nativity Episcopal

The Episcopal Church of the Nativity in Fayetteville offers an adult Lenten program on Wednesdays featuring priests from the Southwest Convocation of the Episcopal Diocese of Atlanta and, on Sunday mornings, a special children's Lenten program, for children up through fifth grade, offers a study of the Stations of the Cross and the Anglican Rosary.

Wednesdays begin with a simple supper at 6 p.m and conclude with a service of Compline, or Night Prayers, at 7:30 p.m.

The Healing Service normally offered at Nativity on the third Wednesday of each month has been cancelled for April 16. The Rev. Barry Griffin of St. Augustine's in Morrow will speak on March 26 and April 2. The Rev. Robert Hudak, Nativity's rector, will present the program on April 9 and 16.

The children's Lenten program begins on Sunday mornings at 8:45 a.m. with the Family and Children's Service, from which the children go to their classes.

The church is at 130 Antioch Road in Fayetteville. For more information, call the church office at 770-460-6390 or visit Nativity's web site, http:// www.fayettenativity.com.
