Results in from Panther Relays By MONROE

Four local schools made good showings at last weekend's Panther Relays at Starr's Mill High School, although Marietta swept the boys' and girls' titles. Landmark Christian's girls finished second in the team rankings, just three points behind Marietta with 84. McIntosh finished fifth (53), with Starr's Mill sixth (50) and Fayette County eighth (23). On the boys' side, Marietta won with 123 points, well ahead of second-place Brookwood's 78. Starr's Mill came in seventh (42.5), followed by Landmark in eighth place (40), McIntosh in ninth (20) and Fayette County tied for 12th (16.5). Other participating schools included Banneker, Carrollton, Chapel Hill, Jefferson, Lovejoy, Lovett, Marist, Mundy's Mill, North Gwinnett, Pope, Riverwood, St. Pius, and Walton. Here are the top-five finishes from local schools (all distances in meters): In girls' team events, Landmark won the 1600 sprint medley, 4x400 relay and 4x100 relay. Landmark was also second in the 4x200 relay and third in the 4x1600 relay and distance medley. McIntosh's girls finished second in the distance medley and third in the 4x100 relay throwers. The Lady Chiefs were also third in the 1600 sprint medley, fourth in the 4x1600 relay and fifth in the 4x200 and 4x100 relays. Starr's Mill came in third in the girls' 4x100 shuttle hurdle and the 4x800 relay. The Lady Panthers finished fourth in the 4x100 relay throwers and fifth in the 4x1600 relay. Fayette County's Lady Tigers finished fifth in the distance medley. Individually, Maggie Campbell of Starr's Mill won the high jump and Sarah King of Landmark won the 300 hurdles. Amanda Crawford of McIntosh finished third in the triple jump, fourth in the long jump and fifth in the high jump. Lindsey Vincent of Landmark was second in the long jump, with Aneesha Lane of Starr's Mill placing fifth. Landmark's King finished third in the pole vault, while Elizabeth Hale of McIntosh grabbed second place in the high jump. In the 300 hurdles, Kristin Olson of Starr's Mill came in third and Sierra Hill of Landmark was fourth. In the 100 hurdles, Lindsey Wilckens of Starr's Mill was fourth and Khaneisha Pagan of Fayette County was fifth. In boys' competition, McIntosh finished second in the 4x800 relay. Fayette County came in third in the 4x200 relay and fifth in the 4x1600 relay. Starr's Mill picked up a third-place finish in the 4x110 shuttle hurdle, fourth in the 4x400 relay and fifth in the 1600 sprint medley. The Panthers were also fourth in the 4x100 relay throwers. Landmark came in third in the 1600 sprint medley, fourth in the 4x1600 relay and fifth in the 4x100 relay throwers. Joseph Register of Landmark won the pole vault, with teammate Adam Lewis coming in second and Fayette County's Ben Londrillo tying for fifth. Seth Yetter of McIntosh finished second in the high jump, followed by Michael Kursteiner of Starr's Mill in fourth place. Matt Harlfinger of Starr's Mill finished third in the 300 hurdles and fifth in the 110 hurdles. Landmark's Sean Hill was fourth in the 300 hurdles, one spot ahead of Abdou Ceesay of Starr's Mill.
