Chick-fil-A founder comes to Barnes and Noble in Fayetteville

"The longest journey begins with the first step. Ahead of each person is a pilgrimage to success, a journey characterized by challenge and adventure. God put within each of us the quest for success. If He had not, we would still be cooking over an open fire. So, here's to the winners, for they give each task their best effort and find in the end it's easier to succeed than fail." - Quote from It's Easier To Succeed Than To Fail by S. Truett Cathy, published 1989.

S. Truett Cathy, founder and chairman of Chick-fil-A, Inc. will be at the Barnes and Noble, located at 1415 Highway 85 in Fayetteville tomorrow night. This event begins at 7 p.m. and is free and open to the public. To reserve your copy of Cathy's new book, please call 770-716-7640.

In 1946 Truett Cathy and his brother opened a little Atlanta neighborhood diner known as the Dwarf Grill, the diner's business grew steadily. In 1967, he founded and opened the first Chick-fil-A restaurant in Atlanta's Greenbriar Shopping Center. Today, Chick-fil-A is the third largest quick-service chicken restaurant company in the United States, with more than 1,000 locations in 35 states. Everyone, from new entrepreneurs to managers of the fortune 500 companies will benefit from a Truett Cathy presentation. This is the Fayette community's opportunity to meet one of America's greatest success stories, live and in person.

"Truett Cathy's commitment to principles has enabled him to achieve both spiritual and financial prosperity. In "Eat Mor Chikin: Inspire Mor People" he tells how this simple philosophy led him to become a mentor and a role model to young people, a customer oriented restaurateur, a community leader and philanthropist," said President Jimmy Carter. "It is one of the most remarkable success stories of our time."
