Susan Stroman is one of the hottest choreographers/directors on Broadway. Not only did she direct and choreograph the smash hit 'The Producers," But in 2000, "contact," won a number of major theatre awards including the Tony. "contact" is three love stories told entirely through dance, performed to a wide variety of music, including Stephane Grappelli's rendition of Rodgers and Hart's "My Heart Stood Still," to pieces by Grieg, Tchaikovsky and Bizet to Robert Palmer, Dean Martin, the Beach Boys and The Squirrel Nut Zippers. The cast of "contact" is 24 dancers/actors who light up the stage with infectious energy. The show was written by John Weidman who wrote the books for "Pacific Overtures and "big," both of which were nominated for Tony Awards. He also won nine Emmy Awards as a writer for "Sesame Street."
