McIntosh sweeps Starr's Mill on court McIntosh scored 5-0 wins in both boys' and girls' tennis action last Wednesday at the Peachtree City Tennis Center. In boys' singles action, Phil Van Fossan downed John Esterline 10-4, Stefan James defeated Eric Jackson 10-6, and Osman Faruqi prevailed 10-1 over Brian O'Keefe. On the doubles side, Hoot Fisher and Joe Styga won 10-8 over Adam Esterline and Ben Matlaga, while Francois Pienaar and Quan Li beat Phillip Strickland and Evan Foster by the same score. Priscilla Roberts won 10-0 over Gabby Acuna in girls' singles competition, while Rebecca Timmis defeated Shayna Simmons 10-3 and Adriane Hodges won 10-1 over Jenna McPherson. Shelby Carlson and Lauren Wilde downed Joanna Tulsma and Kitty Ireland 10-4 in doubles, while Renae Clarke and Stephanie Daughenbaugh picked up a 10-8 win over Lauren Dillon and Kristen Thornton.
