Holy Trinity hosts daily ecumenical prayers for country

Holy Trinity Catholic Church holds a daily ecumenical 15- minute prayer service for the U.S. leadership and military during this time of tragedy and uncertainty. Anyone in the community is welcome to attend. Those who cannot attend are encouraged to pray wherever they are at this time of the day. The prayer service will be at 12:30 p.m. Mondays-Thursdays.

Hopewell UMC plans revival March 23-26

Hopewell United Methodist Church in Tyrone will have a revival "for the community and the nation" Sunday, March 23, through Wednesday, March 26. The Sunday service will be at 11 a.m. Services Monday through Wednesday will be at 7 p.m., preceded by snacks at 6:15. Hopewell is at 351 Jenkins Rd. in Tyrone.

Turin UMC to host Fish Fry March 21

The Turin United Methodist Church will have a Fish Fry Friday, March 21 at the church. Lunch plates will be offered from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. and supper plates will be available from 5-8 p.m. The cost is $6 for catfish filet, hush puppies, fries and cole slaw. National Heights Lenten prayer group meets

A Lenten Prayer Group meets at National Heights Baptist church each Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. The meeting consists of a luncheon and prayer time to remember missionaries, the country and the church. National Heights offers Bible study on women in Jesus' life

National Heights Baptist Church will host a Bible study each Thursday during Lent on the women Jesus encountered and affected. The group will meet at 4:30 p.m. Based on the book, "Do What You Have the Power to Do," the study will look at six women in Jesus' life and ministry. Ebenezer UMC offering commemorative plate

Members of Ebenezer United Methodist Church are offering for sale to the public a commemorative, decorative plate featuring a picture of the church on the front and the history of the church on the back. Acuff to speak at Fayetteville Church of Christ

Gospel preacher and humorist Larry Acuff will be the guest speaker for the Fayetteville Church of Christ Sunday through Wednesday, March 23-26. Acuff will speak Sunday at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m., and Monday through Wednesday at 7:15 p.m. on the topic of "Our Personal Commitment to Christ." The community is invited to attend.

Virginia Pope to speak FUMC Lenten lunch

The United Methodist Women of the Fayetteville First United Methodist Church host a Lenten Lunch each Thursday from noon-1 p.m. in the church fellowship hall. The cost is $2 per person. The program begins with a light lunch and a devotional given by a layperson or minister from the church. Call the church office, 770-461-4313 ext. 17, for further information.

Holly Grove AME plans spring revival

The Holly Grove AME Church is hosting its 2003 Spring Revival, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, April 2, 3 and 4. The guest speaker is Rev. Benjamin Clark from New Creation Baptist Church. McDonough Rd. ladies group to meet March 20

The Women on Mission group at McDonough Road Baptist Church meets the third Thursday of each month. The next meeting will be Thursday, March 20, at 10 a.m. in room 217.
