NAACP training this weekend at Atlanta Hilton The Fayette County chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) is hosting the 51st Southeast Region Civil Rights Advocacy Training Institute Friday through Sunday at the Atlanta Hilton hotel. Prospective members are invited to attend and mingle with current members to meet and learn how to grow communities and future leaders. This year's theme is "NAACP: Mobilizing and Manifesting the Mission". The conference creates dialogue and direction on such topics as quality and justice, affirmative action, false imprisonment, police profiling, political disenfranchisement, urban empowerment, educational achievement and how to meet the needs of youths.
