Clessie Jane's offers unique gifts at new site

Clessie Jane's Cottage at 325 Glynn Street South recently moved to its new location. The business was previously at 125 Fisher Avenue and offers a wide variety of unique gifts and accessories for everyone of all ages at affordable prices. The store owners want to create a warm and friendly hometown environment for their customers.

Clessie Jane's Cottage started in October 2002 on Fisher Avenue, Fayetteville. The business is owner by Joy Ballard and named after her mother, Clessie Jane Ballew and grandmother, Clessie Jane White.

"I love retail and the customer. I always dreamed of owning a hometown specialty shop," Ballard said.

Ballard said she puts much thought and time into purchasing unique gifts, accessories, vintage items for the customer.

"We also have the Garden Patch shed which consists of fresh market produce - the best in town offering the best prices. The Garden Patch is owned and operated by Vickie Terry."

Ballard said she can personally package and mail gift items for customers. The Garden Patch also specializes in unique fruit baskets as well.

If you bring a friend and a newspaper clipping, you can receive 10 percent off the entire purchase, she said.

The store is open Monday - Saturday from 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m.
