Ebenezer UMC offering commemorative plate

Members of Ebenezer United Methodist Church are offering for sale to the public a commemorative, decorative plate featuring a picture of the church on the front and the history of the church on the back. Ebenezer is one of the older churches in Fayette County, having been organized in the 1880s. The price of the plate is $26. For more information or to place an order, call Patsy Banks, 770-461-6186.

Antioch Baptist will host gospel concert

Mark and Andrea Forrester of Lapeer, Mich, will perform in a Southern Gospel Concert Wednesday, March 12, at 6:30 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church, 144 Brooks-Woolsey Rd., Fayetteville. For information, call 770-461-8270.

National Heights Lenten prayer group to meet

A Lenten Prayer Group will meet at National Heights Baptist church each Wednesday, beginning March 5 at 12:30 p.m. The meeting will consist of a luncheon and prayer time to remember missionaries, the country and the church. Lenten lunch series begins March 5

The United Methodist Women of the Fayetteville First United Methodist Church will host a Lenten Lunch Series beginning Wednesday, March 5 and continuing every Thursday thereafter throughout the Lenten season. The cost is $2 per person. The program begins at noon in the Fellowship Hall with a light lunch and a devotional given by a layperson or minister from the church. The lunch and the program will conclude at 1 p.m. The speaker for the first luncheon is Shirley Brown. Call the church office, 770-461-4313 ext. 17, for further information.

National Heights offers Bible study on women in Jesus' life

National Heights Baptist Church will host a Bible study each Thursday during Lent on the women Jesus encountered and affected. The group will meet at 4:30 p.m. Based on the book, "Do What You Have the Power to Do," the study will look at six women in Jesus' life and ministry. Tyrone First Baptist hosts quilting bee

Ladies at the Tyrone First Baptist Church have a quilting bee each Tuesday evening from 5:30-7 p.m. The church is on Arrowwood Rd. just off Senoia Rd. For more information, call the church office, 770-487-4385.
