Why are we under attack?

In the Feb. 26 edition of The Citizen there were two editorials opposing the Confederate flag and the possible return to the state flag that the majority of the citizens of this state support.

I couldn't help but notice that one started with, "since moving here from Detroit," and the other saying, "ever since I moved here..."

My point is, these people are not from here and can't possibly understand how we feel about our heritage.

The flag means many things to me, and one of those things it represents is the right to be left alone. I would never move to another state or part of the country and then begin criticizing the heritage of the people or the way they live.

A favorite saying of these people is "the war is over." If so, then why are we still under attack?
