The Villages Amphitheater still has great seats available to their six concert summer concert series. Though there is a strong country feel to the series, there is a little bit of everything, sure to please diverse audiences this summer.

The series kicks off June 14 with The Charlie Daniels Band. The group is celebrating its 25th anniversary and will play a wide variety of hits. Though most famous for "The Devil Went Down to Georgia," the group is also known for the hits "The South's Gonna Do It" and "Boogie Woogie Fiddle" among others.

The popular 1980s soft-rock duo Air Supply, will come to Fayetteville June 28 with its long list of love songs. Some of their better-known hits are "All Out of Love" and "Every Woman In the World."

One week later, July 5, the Drifters and the Marvelettes will perform their classic hits. The Drifters are best known for "Under the Boardwalk," while the Marvelettes' biggst hit was "Please Mr. Postman."

B.J. Thomas, singer of the hits "Hooked on a Feeling" and "Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head," will play at the Villages Amphitheater July 19. The Swingin' Medallions, a very popular band around the southeast, will perform Aug. 2. The group plays a lot of cover songs but is also known for the original hit "Double Shot of My Baby's Love."

The series will end Aug. 16 with a Glen Campbell concert. Campbell performed two sold-out shows last year at the Frederick Brown Jr. Amphitheater and is pleased to be coming back to Fayette County. Campbell has had a long and storied career and is best known for the hits "Rhinestone Cowboy," Wichita Lineman" and "Gentle on My Mind."

The Villages Amphitheater will have public sales at their box office this Saturday and March 15 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

The series is priced at $150 per person for a reserved tier seat for the entire six concerts. Lawn seating is available for $120 per person for the series. Seats in the tiered section will be assigned, not general seating. There is space available in the tiered area for a small table to be set up in front of the chairs which helps create an atmosphere similar to Chastain Park.
