Lenten lunch series begins March 5

The United Methodist Women of the Fayetteville First United Methodist Church will host a Lenten Lunch Series beginning Wednesday, March 5 and continuing every Thursday thereafter throughout the Lenten season, from noon-1 p.m. The cost is $2 per person. National Heights plans Ash Wednesday service

The Ash Wednesday service at National Heights Baptist Church in Fayetteville will be on March 5, at 6:30 p.m. in the sanctuary. The service will include the imposition of ashes and communion, along with special music and study. National Heights is on the corner of Ga. Hwy. 54 and Old Norton Road, just west of Fayetteville.

Providence plans blood drive March 4

Providence United Methodist Church will have a blood drive Tuesday, March 4, from 2:30-7:30 p.m. For more information and an appointment time, call the church office, 770-719-8800. Providence is at 592 Bernhard Rd., between Ga. Hwy. 85 and Redwine Rd. in Fayette County.

CDM offers home buying workshop

Christ Discipleship Ministries (CDM) will present a workshop on "Home Buying: What You Need to Know," Saturday, March 1, from 10 a.m. until noon, taught by Diann Alexander, a former mortgage loan processor, now a licensed real estate agent.
