Police believe a man arrested Sunday in connection with the armed robbery of a Coweta County convenience store may have assisted another man in the Jan. 10 armed robbery of the Flash Foods convenience store on Crosstown Road in Peachtree City.

The Atlanta Homicide Squad arrested Willie H. Wise Jr. of Atlanta Sunday in connection with an armed robbery that occurred there, said Peachtree City Police Chief James Murray. It is not clear if he participated in the Flash Foods incident in Peachtree City, Murray added.

Peachtree City detectives have warrants out for the arrest of Howard Lee Duffy, 40, of Atlanta for the Flash Foods incident. Police said Duffy got away with cash and cigarettes after striking in the early morning hours.

Police also believe Duffy was the perpetrator of a similar incident in Tyrone at the Tyrone Amoco two days after the Peachtree City hold-up.
