Religion Briefs The public is invited to hear noted Christian author and speaker Josh McDowell present a seminar titled "Beyond Belief to Convictions," Tuesday, Feb. 25, from 6:30-9:30 p.m. The seminar is geared toward youth and will be held at New Hope Baptist Church North, Fayetteville. F'ville Christian Fabulous Follies set for Sunday Members of the Fayetteville Christian Church will present the "Fayetteville Christian Fabulous Follies," a variety show, in conjunction with its Sunday evening activities Feb. 23. The doors will open for dinner at 4:45 with dinner served at 5 p.m. Reservations are requested. Women's Bible study class held Wednesdays The women at McDonough Road Baptist Church meet for Bible study Tuesday mornings at 9:30 a.m. and Wednesday evenings at 6:05 p.m. for a class on "Beloved Disciple: The Life and Ministry of John" by Beth Moore. Group forming for those with aging parents An organizational meeting to form a support group for people dealing with the needs of aging parents will be held at Fayetteville First United Methodist Church on Wednesday, March 12, at 6:30 p.m. in Rm. C-270. Marshall Gill, executive director of Azalea Estates, will give a general overview of the aging process, covering such topics as home healthcare, what to look for in a nursing home, Medicare vs. Medicaid, and many other pertinent topics. Mary Rice Hopkins to perform here March 2 Christ's Church at Whitewater will present Mary Rice Hopkins, a nationally known musician specializing in children's entertainment, in concert Sunday, March 2, at 5 p.m. All profits will go to help pay medical costs of Mitchell Camp, a five-year-old enrolled in the church's preschool program who has osteosarcoma. Mitchell is currently undergoing chemotherapy at Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite. Tickets are on sale now for $6.00 each. Seating is limited and advance purchase is recommended.
