Many students disrespect America's flag and its values

Freedom is a word in which the kids of this generation do not fully understand. It saddens me to realize that over half the students in my school could care less about the status of the United States and the Middle East.

One of my duties as a student in a public school system is to stand up proudly and recite the Pledge of Allegiance every morning. I believe that saying that is worth something to this country, no matter how small, and it's worth something for me. This country deserves everyone to stand up and proudly say what I say every morning.

I don't understand why there are still people sitting down in there desks during this chance to show you care and that you are thankful to be an American.

Now is a great time for you certain people to be informed on what's going on. People are dying. They are fighting in the name of freedom, for this country and for many others. It's time you showed some respect.
