Restaurant choices heating up in cold weather

Usually, the winter months see most folks staying home and curling up by a fire instead of venturing out to the local eating establishments.

But this winter, Fayette residents have an increasing choice of restaurants that are worth braving the winter chill.

The newest choice is Johnny Carino's, which opened last Monday, just south of the Fayette Pavilion shopping center.

The restaurant specializes in country Italian food, and the choices will satisfy even the pickiest diner.

Sandwiches, giant salads and homemade pasta are just some of the offerings the small chain restaurant features.

Another choice for hearty food is Deli Delight in the Braelinn shopping center in Peachtree City. The restaurants offers some of the best sandwiches in the county, and also offers other homemade offerings, such as pasta dishes.

It seems that just a couple of years ago, there were no Thai restaurants in the county. Now, they continue to make inroads in the county's ethnic restaurant venues.

The newest to open is Papaya Thai in the Kedron shopping center in Peachtree City. I have heard nothing but praise for this restaurant which offers quality Thai food at reasonable prices.

Another ethnic establishment now calling Peachtree City home is Froggy's in the Braelinn shopping center in Peachtree City.

The restaurant features wonderful crepes along with some of the best baked items south of Atlanta. The wonderful French environment offers a nice touch to Peachtree City's increasingly sophisticated dining scene.

With all these choices available, break out the winter garb and enjoy a night on the town.
