Flag change another attempt at cultural genocide of South

Dr. Linville's article is another attempt at cultural genocide of Southern people of Confederate ancestry. It is an article that would make Engels, Stalin and Marx proud. Its style is straight from the Communist Manifesto. It reeks of extreme left-wing Northern socialism.

In the doctor's attempt to demonize Confederate Americans he omits the racism on the part of his Northern brothers. I attended Atlanta Christian College for three years. One of my classmates was an African-American who belonged to the college choir. The choir had the opportunity to sing in a Christian church in a Northern state. When they arrived at the church they were denied the privilege of singing because of the African-American member in their choir.

There were no Confederate flags waving in that Northern Christian church. However, the U.S. flag and the Christian flag stood in this church. The U.S. flag and the Christian flag are the only two officially recognized flags in the KKK. It is also in this same Northern state that the KKK has its national headquarters.

Not one Southern person, not one Southern symbol and not one Southern descendant had anything to do with this overt act of racism. I spent 20 years in the Baptist Church and 20 years in the Christian Church, all in the South, and I have never witnessed the racism that took place in this Northern Christian Church.

On the other hand I can tell you of racism committed against myself by African-Americans in Atlanta while attending Atlanta Christian College. But according to black racist and Northern apologists, Southern whites just cannot be discriminated against.

The only apartheid that existed in the South is called Reconstruction. It started when Yankee soldiers invaded the South, raped ladies both black and white, burned homes churches and hospitals, poisoned wells and land, stole anything of value, including food and livestock. The golden age of Reconstruction was from 1865 to 1877. That was also the start and the end of the KKK.

During this golden age blacks were armed by the feds and given orders to shoot all whites outside after 10 p.m. They were also told to shoot anyone in a Confederate uniform. Whites had their guns confiscated. They were not allowed to run for office. Nor were they allowed to vote. Their land was taken from them by carpetbaggers and scalawags. The feds left and the golden age was over but apartheid still exist in the form of quotas, affirmative action and redistricting.

I find it ironic that the church (Christian Church/Church of Christ/Disciples of Christ) you represent through ACC was the only church not to split during the War of Northern Aggression. The campus itself sets on battle trenches. You people took over the South and perverted her government with socialism. You people took over the Klan and perverted it with racial hatred. You people took over the church and perverted it with political correctness. Now you are trying to take our culture and pervert it with your revisionist history.

The most sickening part of your letter is the position you hold in the church community is used to teach the lies that promulgate anti-Southern bigotry rather than teaching the saving grace and blood of Jesus Christ the living son of God.

Regardless of what you believe or what you want others to believe the battle flag was and is a memorial tribute to those who fought for the Confederacy which include both slave and free African-Americans, Hispanics, Jewish, Native Americans, Asians and various Europeans. But most of all, it was the grandsons of Celtic/Anglos who fought in the American Revolution for states and a government based on Judeo-Christian principle.
