Holly Grove A.M.E. Church plans Black History Month activities In recognition and celebration of its African- American history, the congregation of Holly Grove A.M.E. Church will host several events during February. On Saturday, Feb. 8, at 10 a.m., a lecture on "The Reconstruction Era in Georgia, an African-American Perspective" will be given by Janice Sikes, senior and research librarian at the Auburn Research Library on African-American Culture and History. Sunday, Feb. 9, at 11 a.m., the Rev. Dr. Kenneth E. Henry, associate professor, International Theological Center, Atlanta, will speak on "The A.M.E. Church during the Reconstruction Era."
